Post Oak, TX – Flood Zone Lot Development
We developed a 3.38-acre lot in Post Oak, Texas that was impacted by both the 100-year and 500-year FEMA flood zones. To create a buildable site, we raised the lot about five feet without affecting the floodplain, securing City Council approval after presenting our plan. The residence was built on a foundation of 100+ piers drilled ~25 feet into dense clay, providing long-term stability. The project was both permitting- and engineering-successful, overcoming a challenging flood zone site.
